What are Hair Implants

Hair implants or hair transplants are actual hair that are taken from the back of your own scalp (where most men don’t lose hair over time) and transferred to bald or thinning areas on your crown and frontal scalp (hairline). Hair transplants look very natural in our San Diego practice because we utilize only follicular unit transplants (1-4 hairs) and never create a “pluggy” appearance. Single hair grafts are always used in the hairline to achieve a fine and natural look.
